Mains gas
Mains natural gas is supplied to a property through the gas distribution network. There is no on-site bulk fuel storage tank for the customer to manage.
LPG and propane
LPG heating commonly uses propane stored in a tank at the premises. The installation therefore includes storage, regulators, valves and supply pipework in addition to the gas appliance itself.
Boiler compatibility
A gas boiler must be suitable and correctly configured for the fuel it burns. Appliances and conversions must follow manufacturer requirements and be handled by appropriately competent engineers.
Servicing considerations
