More than just checking the heat pump
A ground source heat pump service should consider the complete installation. Expansion vessels, brine protection, circulation pumps, strainers, filters, buffer vessels, controls and the underfloor heating circuit can all influence system performance and reliability.
Expansion vessels: pressures checked and vessels recharged where required.
Ground loop: water/brine mixture and system pressure checked, including protection level with a refractometer.
Secondary return: circulation pump and inline strainer checked.
Underfloor heating: system operation checked as part of the service.
Hydraulics: buffer vessel, magnetic filter, circulation components, valves and associated pipework inspected.
General condition: visual checks for leakage, deterioration and abnormal operation.
