Emergency Ecodan call-out in Cottingham
Envirowarm attended an older Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Zubadan air-source heat pump after the system failed and left an elderly couple without heating. Our priority was to diagnose the controls and establish what the existing system needs to return it to reliable operation.
Outdoor unit: Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Zubadan PUHZ-HW140VHA2.
Rated heating capacity: 14 kW.
Control issue: wireless room thermostat/controller requires repair and communication checks.
Maintenance condition: outdoor unit and system are overdue for a thorough service and clean.
Next stage: service, clean, hydraulic/control checks, repair the wireless control and recommission the heating system.
Repair first, replace only when necessary
When an older heat pump stops working, replacement is not automatically the answer. Correct fault-finding should establish whether the problem lies with the heat pump itself, its controls, circulation, sensors or the wider heating system.
This visit is ongoing. We have identified the wireless control issue and the need for overdue maintenance. The system will be fully proved following remedial work rather than claiming a completed repair before recommissioning.
